The Unit Clerical I- Human Resources Assistant will be responsible for the following duties:
Performing routine and varied clerical duties in accordance with standards and procedures.
Performing activities such as photocopying, compiling records, filing, scanning, tabulating, posting information, e-mailing, and scheduling appointments.
Typing or entering information such as employment applications in to a database.
Assisting applicants with completing employment application.
Assisting with collating and distributing payroll checks and reports.
Maintaining Human Resources filing systems.
Completing Employee Action Forms.
Assisting with organizing and preparing for New Hire Orientation, Annual Employee Meetings, Holiday Parties and Employee Appreciation Day activities.
Acting as a Customer Service Representative for all HR Guest and Applicants
Typical Knowledge and Skills
Applies basic clerical skills using tools and equipment appropriate for the position. Must have ability to effectively communicate and receive information in a manner easily understood by fellow employees, customers and management.
Educational Requirements: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience
Certification Requirements: none
Physical Demands: work is typically performed in a standard office environment, is sedentary in nature and typically requires occasional carrying, maneuvering and lifting in order to complete duties of the position. Frequent hand/eye coordination is used to operate keyboard and related office equipment
Unit Specific Requirements
. Days (Monday thru Friday)
. Times of availability from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
. Weekends (rarely but possible)
. Must be in current position for 6 months
. Must not have any constructive counseling actions issued within the last 90 days
. Must have approval from Current Manager to Post
. New Hires or Off Campus Unit Transfers must have a resume indicating previous demonstrated experience and must complete a Job application.
. All New Hires are subject to Background Checks and Drug Screens
May assist front office staff with front office coverage to during lunch breaks and schedule changes)
