Qualifications: College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science or similar.8-10 years experience in IT services delivery and customer service.Extensive experience in data center operations.Advanced understanding of Data Center Operations including environmental management, power management, and space management.Experienced and understanding of ITIL/ITSM concepts.Experienced in developing business cases.Experienced in successfully using project management tools to execute large scale projects.Experienced leader and people manager.Duties: The Data Center Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of Turner Technology Services five Atlanta data centers and server rooms and the direct staff management of the Data Center Operations team. Develop operational policies and procedures for the data centers.Ensure change management practices conform to organization wide standards.Provide daily operational direction and oversight in meeting SLAs and customer expectations.Work closely with IT partners and peers in order to ensure the efficient utilization of IT resources across the multiple data centers and server rooms and in alignment with the business objectives of the organization.Work with IT partners to coordinate system installations, relocations, removals, etc.Monitor activities of partners, customers and vendors conducting business in the data center to ensure those activities comply with Data Center policies and procedures.Define data center short and long term strategies to ensure data center infrastructure capacity meet current and future requirements.Works with Facility Engineering on managing power and cooling capacity in the Data Centers and monitors environmental conditions within the Data Centers.Manages access to the data centers ensuring the appropriate access control lists are maintained and review regularly.Implement and manage metrics and reporting for all data center services and customer satisfaction.Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems.Manage problem escalations and communications with senior management, partners, and customers.Conduct research and remain current with the latest technologies and solutions in support of data center services.Direct management of DC Operations team including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions.Trains and evaluates employees to enhance their performance, development, and work product.Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. and its subsidiaries are Equal Opportunity Employers.Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. and its subsidiaries are E-Verify users.
