The Project Quality Specialist is the contact person for Project Manager, Engineers, Designers,
Office Staff and Shop personnel with regard to developing process related Integrated Management System (IMS) procedures, execution of IMS procedures and process. They also assist in the execution of IMS/ISO and
Six Sigma quality program activities. The Project Quality Specialist reports to the Quality
Manager.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
The Project Quality Specialist will assist the Quality Control Manager in the development of a
combined Integrated Management System (IMS) with links to the ISO 9001 Standards. They
will also assist in the training of key personnel in the IMS system.
? Ensure execution of IMS and ISO 9001 through ongoing monitoring and auditing
Report quality issues, status, metrics and lessons learned to Quality Management
Manage efforts to resolve quality issues and make improvements to quality activities.
Promote Quality awareness throughout the Integrated Quality Management System.
? Ensure establishment and proper implementation of adequate control processes
within the Integrated Quality Management System
? Perform scheduled periodic assessments of the Contractor''s activities in order to
evaluate and monitor implementation of Contractor''s Quality Management systems
? Participate in qualification of proposed Subcontractors or Suppliers
? Provide Quality training as required
? Develop and coordinate IMS audit schedule, conduct site audits and assist Quality
Manager in conduct of project audits, as needed
? Review metrics from engineering, procurement, and construction sites to identify and
assist in resolution of issues
? Review and assist in development of Quality portion of site close-out reports as
necessary
? Advise and inform Quality Manager on quality issues, status and metrics
? Ensure best practices and lessons learned are implemented and that new lessons
learned are identified and distributed as required
? Execution and development of Six- Sigma Lean projects
? Other duties as required
Requirements: Education and Experience Required:
? Bachelor or Associate degree in Engineering or Science preferred
? Minimum 5 years of experience in responsible roles in Quality Management and
coordination of quality activities.
? Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certified Preferred.
? Working knowledge of 6-Sigma Lean activities and processes.
? Experience with project completions and documentation for operations turnover
? Working knowledge and or experience with auditing quality management systems
? Qualification / certification in auditing and in inspection disciplines in preferred
Skills Required:
Must be proficient in common PC software (MS Word, MS Excel, etc)
Effective communication skills are required in verbal and in written formats with superiors,
colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the company.
Travel Percentage: Moderate, 25%
**Must be eligible to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
** Local candidates preferred, or candidates willing to relocate to the Atlanta area at their own expense. Relocation assistance for this position is not available.
