Registered Nurse PACU RN (PRN)

The RN Post-Acute is responsible for providing care to clients in their home setting. This includes age appropriate interventions that meet physical, emotional, developmental, and psychosocial and educational needs. The RN is responsible for the coordination of all disciplines throughout the episode of care. The RN communicates with all team members including RNs, LPNs, therapists, social workers, home health aides, the physician, patient, family, and other internal or external individuals to ensure that the patient's plan of care is appropriately developed, implemented and that goals are met. The RN participates in the team weekend and call rotation, including afterhours visits as needed. The RN can serve as a preceptor for new employees and nursing students. The RN participates in the supervision of the Home health aide. They are responsible for attending and participating in in-services, staff meetings, special projects and continuing education.


**Required Minimum Education:** Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing, who is licensed as a registered nurse by the state of Georgia. Current BLS certification. Valid Georgia driver's license. Reliable transportation.

**Required Minimum Experience:** Minimum of one year of Medical/Surgical OR PACU Nursing required. Home Health experience preferred. Excellent clinical skills.

**Required** **Minimum Skills:** Positive leadership, problem solving skills, strong organizational and time management skills. Strong assessment and clinical skills. Strong communication (written and verbal) skills. Ability to write and follow directions to patient's homes. Use of Windows based computer, utilizing home health patient software, email, internet, computer based learning modules, etc. Good understanding of home health operations, reimbursement, law and regulatory processes.
