As a Senior Communications Specialist, you will be part of the Internal Communications team which supports enterprise-wide communications. This role supports the Senior Manager of Internal Communications, as well as Store Support, Culture and Engagement communication initiatives including development and maintenance of the weekly company digital newsletter and company magazine.

Job Duties:

+ Assists in the development and execution of internal communications plans which support our internal brand, company objectives, and engage associates

+ Responsible for producing weekly company digital newsletter and company magazine

+ Regularly consult with internal client on projects ranging from day-to-day communication needs, major launches to sustaining long-term initiatives

+ Collaborate with Internal Communications team to build creative and comprehensive communication solutions and launch communication plans based on the communication calendar

+ Create, write and edit meaningful content for a variety of internal communication channels including, but not limited to: company email, weekly digital newsletters, company magazine, company intranet, video production, PowerPoint presentations, digital signage and manager toolkits

+ Monitor, measure and report on the effectiveness of internal communication vehicles

+ Work with external partners to support internal communication and brand needs

Education and Experience:

+ Bachelor's Degree in communications, journalism, public relations, business, marketing, or Associates Degree with 2 additional years of relevant experience

+ Minimum of 5+ years related experience in corporate or internal communications, or related experience in a fast-paced environment

+ Retail experience a plus

Required Skills and Competencies:

+ Communication - Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive and accurately interpret ideas, information and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. This includes the ability to describe or explain complex processes and issues in a concise manner

+ Persuasion and collaboration - Nurtures and builds effective partnerships with clients to achieve results; team player, comfortable working on multiple teams/projects simultaneously and independently, as needed

+ Experience managing projects and adhering to strict timelines

+ Experience with event planning

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs such as PowerPoint, Word, and Excel

+ Extremely flexible with the ability to easily shift priorities with a can-do attitude in a fast-paced, ever changing environment
