Utility Worker I - GA-Tech- North Avenue Dining

The primary responsibility of the Utility 1 position is to wash dishes, pots, pans and utensils. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to removal of garbage, cleaning floors, and following all HACCP polices. The Utility must be able to follow composting procedures and sort waste materials. Manager and or supervisors may assign other duties as needed.
Typical Knowledge and Skills
Applies basic skills using tools and equipment appropriate for the position. Must have ability to effectively communicate and receive information in a manner easily understood by fellow employees and customers; must be a team player and must have excellent customer service skills.
Requirements: Educational: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience
Certifications: None Experience: one or more years
Physical Demands: Specific physical characteristics and abilities are required to perform the work, such as agility, dexterity and long periods of walking, standing, bending, carrying or lifting supplies and equipment weighing 50 pounds or more.

. Must be in current position for 6 months
. Must not have any constructive counseling actions issued within the last 90 days
. Must have approval from Current Unit Manager to Post
