Groundwater Remediation Engineer

. Minimum seven years of experience in environmental remediation design and oversight, including at least 2 years of project management experience, with an emphasis on groundwater remediation.
. Must be registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas, or be able to obtain within one year of hire.
. Must obtain OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER and OSHA 8-hour HAZWOPER Supervisor training within 3 months of hire.
. Must have experience as a Project Manager and technical lead on feasibility studies, remedial design/remedial action, and remedial action oversight, with an emphasis on groundwater remediation. Experience managing staff in the pursuit and acquisition of projects.
. Must have strong leadership skills in the area of development of and mentorship of staff.
. Must have effective written and verbal communication skills and team- building skills.
. Must demonstrate the ability to lead by influence.
. Must have familiarity with data generated in support of RI/FS/RD/RAO projects.

The Infrastructure and Environment Division of URS is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Groundwater Remediation Engineer for immediate employment in the Austin, TX office.
The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in environmental remediation design and oversight specific to groundwater remediation.
Incumbent Responsibilities:
. Manage and provide support for remediation projects by defining the problem, reviewing data, interpreting results and clearly communicating the findings.
. Tasks will include activities focused on site-specific RI, FS, RD, and RA activities at hazardous waste sites.
. Involves interaction with both clients and regulators as well as multi-discipline and multi-office teams within URS.
