Select Public Accounts (SPA) Inside Sales Account Management III- Austin, TX
As an Inside Sales Account Management Representative would be responsible for selling the full catalogue of products and services via telephone to Kindergarten-12th Grade, Higher Education, and State and Local Government customers in the United States. Focus on managing relationships with retention accounts while developing new relationships with acquisition customers. Provide technical and administrative information and price quotes. Provide updated marketing/sales literature to prospective clients, keep up-to-date knowledge of the industry as well as the competitive posture of the company and prepare activity and forecast reports as requested.
Role Responsibilities
- Relationship focus sales.
- May include out bounding to drive current penetration in retention and development accounts.
- Some involvement in outside sales lead with Sales Representative support.
- If account/acquisition focused, individual responsible for:
- Average-to-high revenue spend and/or account complexity within assigned business.
- Higher strategic value within assigned business.
- Sell Dell products and services by responding to inbound or placing outbound customer call, determining needs, overcoming objections, and providing solutions.
- Establish customer relationships with appropriate customer personnel such as purchasing, management and end-users. Forecast attainment utilizing segment provided reporting tools.
- Present and demonstrate products and services to potential customers at trade shows and/or on-site to increase exposure of products and services.
-Viewed as a trusted business advisor to the customer and uses in-depth knowledge of Dell's technology, products and services to help customers formulate direction.
-Utilizes strategic probing to identify, evaluate, and recommend alternative business solutions.
-Analyzes multiple market factors to both anticipate/identify customer problems/needs and recommends appropriate solution.
-Engages cross-functional resources, regardless of geographic location, in order to achieve goal/ meet customer needs.
-Effectively balances demands from multiple stakeholders.
-Effectively balances short term and long term priorities.
-Develops and implements account plans that drive the attainment of critical business objectives.
-Involved in contract negotiation and possesses strong financial/business and pricing knowledge.
Requirements
-6-8 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
-Strong knowledge of applicable Dell technology, products, and services and is able to identify how these products and services align to customer needs.
- Maintain awareness of market conditions and competitors'products and pricing.
- Work in a team environment and demonstrate strong leadership skills
- Effectively use software packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and peripherals
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written skills
- Demonstrate professionalism with peers, subordinates, superiors, and customers
- Manage time and prioritize effectively; demonstrate an ability to cope with a complex and changing environment
Preferences
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree, technical college or some college course work preferred.
- Familiarity with the Salesforce.com preferred
