Systems Administrator- Swing Shift

*_Program/Job Summary:_*
This position is part of a global IT contract supporting an entire DoD Enterprise with client/server/storage/network devices and mobile devices in the infrastructure. Dynamic environment with the ability to influence end user efficiency and productivity. Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis and problem resolution. Ability to optimize system operations and resource utilization and participate in analysis and planning of operational effectiveness. Challenging, fast pace and very rewarding environment.
*_PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:_*
Provides remote system administration support, system maintenance, and operation of Windows/Unix workstations. Troubleshoots problems and applies resolutions remotely. Resolves desktop problems and service requests such as software installs remotely using tools such as SMS, Remote Desktop connection, Active Directory, etc.
**This is a "Swing Shift" position, M-F 2pm-10pm. Some day shift training required during the first 1-3 months on contract**
*Qualifications:*
*_BASIC QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION:_*
5 years' experience in a similar job and meet degree requirements. 2 years' experience working in diverse operating systems, including Windows XP, hardware platforms and software packages. Must have software installation and troubleshooting experience, including with Microsoft Exchange. Must have use and knowledge of Active Directory, and Network and Internet Applications and Protocols.
Excellent customer service and communications skills are required. Must demonstrate ability to multi task, work in a fast paced environment and show evidence of being a team player. No certifications are required for this position.

Experience with the Remedy ticketing system.
