About the Job:
Xobni is in the business of mining a user-Ts personal communications data (emails, SMS, call logs, etc.) to build the largest and most powerful personal address book ever imagined. Where most address books merely list contacts alphabetically, Xobni understands the relationship between people, their relevance to the user, and the implicit social graph that grows and morphs every day. Social graphs which are built through explicit action by a user (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter) are in fact much smaller, weaker, and noisier than the implicit graph that each person-Ts personal and business communications reveals.
Xobni is growing its team that finds new and innovative ways to mine insights from communications data. Some of the problems we-Tre working on include:
* Maximizing search relevance within the personal address book
* Developing an "identity graph" that spans millions of users and billions of relationships
* Enabling "search pivots" such as time, location, and communication patterns.
* Semantic identification and classification of emails-- for instance identifying those messages where a friend announces their email address has changed, or where a retailer is offering a deal of interest to the user
* Predicting user behavior-- is this email likely to get ignored, skimmed, or consumed with interest
* Reliably extracting phone numbers, addresses, and signature information from email
* Topic Extraction, allowing a user to locate contacts by shared interests and past conversations
