Senior Manager - Policy Management

Assists with analyzing complex business problems to be solved with automated systems.
As part of a software project implementation team, provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user needs. Configures system settings and options; plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing; and creates specifications for systems to meet business specifications. Designs details of automated systems. May provide consultation to users in the area of automated systems. May lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Prefer 8 years relevant experience and BA/BS degree.

Senior Manager, Policy Management
Summary
Oracle is seeking a Senior Manager to oversee Global Information Security s policies and operations, reporting to Director of Policy, Communications and Systems. The successful candidate will exercise sound judgement, have excellent written and oral communications skills, and be adept at managing information security policy and communication.
Responsibilities
* Day-to-day management of Global Information Security Policies.
* Lead information security policy management lifecycle including development, review, update, implementation, and retirement of policies.
* Write new information security policies and standards as necessary.
* Streamline department processes related to policies and operations
* Maintain an accurate and readily available resource of current and archived information security policies.
* Integrate Cloud into existing information security policies and resources.
* Ensure Oracle security policies recognize activities of the business and the applicable security frameworks and standards.
* Work closely and effectively with colleagues in GIS and other Lines of Business to facilitate the implementation of Oracle Information Security policies and requirements.
* Monitor and analyze Line of Business and industry trends and Oracle's activities to align corporate policies.
* Maintain accurate records of policy versions for audit purposes.
* Act as the point of contact for Line of Business audits related to Oracle security policies.
* Attend Line of Business meetings as required to provide detailed information regarding Oracle s security framework and information security policies usually as a requirement of internal and 3rd party audit.
* Communicate important policy issues/changes with key Oracle stakeholders.
* Work closely with the Education Program to share suggested guidance resources need based on feedback on policy reviews.
* A ct as an evangelist for Information Security across all Lines of Business .
* Assist with compiling and producing information security-related communications, including companywide emails, alerts, announcements, and articles.
* Ensure all department content and collateral material conform to company branding.
* Assist with updating and maintaining department content and resources.
* Evaluate appropriate methods for maintaining department policies and resources.
* Assist with responding to inquiries submitted to the communications and policy mailing lists.
Qualifications
* Degree level qualification or commensurate industry experience.
* Excellent technical writing and oral communication skills.
* Strong understanding of the Cloud environment and how to work it into policy and other security resources.
* Effective interpersonal skills.
* Ability to establish working relationships with management and key Line of Business representatives.
* Proven program and/or project management experience.
* Adept at learning Oracle tools and applications.
* Strong understanding of the Cloud environment and how to work it into policy and other security resources.
* Knowledge of and familiarity with Oracle s ways of working.
* Enthusiasm for involvement in new projects and initiatives.
* Ability to effectively manage multiple strategic initiatives concurrently.
* Detail oriented, organized and driven to follow-through and complete tasks.
* Willingness to support department initiatives.
* The candidate will ideally be located in Headquarters Redwood Shores, CA or EMEA.
