_Where the Chemistry Happens..._

This job exists to ensure the optimization of plant processes within assigned area. This includes improving process operating methods and process parameters, as well as optimizing specific energy consumption and yield consumptions. The role will include efforts to facilitate and contribute to systematic reductions in unplanned losses within the production processes. As with all roles, this should also further the development and improvement of safety aspects of the unit.

Operations Engineer - Process Optimization (1703597) - McIntosh, AL

_Formula for Success: You Will..._

+ Be responsible for issues of asset safety. Develop and document plant EHS concepts; review process-related corrective measures to EHS events.

+ Setup plant training and qualification concepts.

+ Implement OPEX and Continuous Improvement (Lean tools) to improve unit efficiency and embedding them within the plant.

+ Define, collect, and control processes and procedural KPIs of unit (e.g., energy efficiency, performance, alarm management).

+ Maintain updated information on latest state of production process technology.

+ Accountable for plant-specific optimization strategy (e.g., procedures, automation, operator systems, plant organization).

+ Hold responsibility for medium- to long-term operational process management strategy of the unit.

_Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You..._

+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.

+ A minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing.

+ Results-oriented with strong implementation skills.

+ Experience with solid material handling processes is a plus.

+ Experience with process automation and controls preferred.

+ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

+ A high level of influencing skills to achieve results without direct supervision.

+ Must be able to work in a diverse team environment - working closely with mechanics, operators, engineers and management to solve problems and address systemic issues related to equipment reliability.

+ Sound technical knowledge of instrumentation, electrical, and mechanical equipment (rotating and fixed).

+ Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office, OSI Pi, Lotus Notes, and SAP.

+ Travel 5%
