Available Positions – Portfolio Data Analyst I & II
CAPROCK bases every investment decision on careful analysis that has only one goal: to protect and grow our clients’ wealth. The CAPROCK Group’s team of experts aggregate vast amounts of financial data from hundreds of sources and use specialized and proprietary technologies to deliver transparent, comprehensive and understandable performance reporting to families who demand the highest level of service and results.
The Portfolio Data Analyst I & II positions are critical to CAPROCK’s ability to maintain and report on accurate portfolio data for our clients.
In this role you will be part of CAPROCK’s data reporting team and assist with the day-to-day functions of the firm. You will be responsible for tracking billions of dollars in account balances and cash flows spread across thousands of accounts worldwide. The position includes some data entry, some bookkeeping, and some data analysis.
•      Update custodial and alternative asset account values
•      Calculate and verify account performance metrics
•      Establish and/or maintain automated data feeds
•      Generate monthly and quarterly performance reports
•      Provide data to enable monthly client billing
•      Assist with monthly balance sheet input and preparation
Qualifications Required
o      Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution: you are a person who finishes what you start.

o      Strong analytical and organizational skills: you take pride in getting it right and you have a knack for doing detail-oriented work.

o      Demonstrated aptitude with Microsoft Excel: you might not be an Excel guru, but you must have experience using it.

o      Able to solve problems: when confronted with an unfamiliar task you tend to figure things out quickly…but you also have a good sense for when it’s time to ask for help.

o      Able to work in a team environment and prioritize competing tasks: you are good at managing your own time and juggling multiple tasks and deadlines. You own your work, but you know how to cooperate.

o      Natural ability to stay interested and engaged in a data-intensive, process oriented environment: you enjoy working with data and appreciate having monthly and quarterly recurring tasks.

•      Preferred, but not required
o      Degree (or relevant professional experience) in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.
o      Prior professional experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role.
o      Basic understanding of financial/securities markets.
o      Some prior experience with accounting software.
