Posting Title Associate Director, Pricing and Reimbursement
Job Description The Associate Director, Pricing and Reimbursement is responsible for supporting the development of pricing, reimbursement, and channel discounting strategies and tactics for Biogen Idec current and pipeline products. This position will align with brand strategies and objectives to prepare for product launch. The AD will lead the development and implementation of the contracting strategy, including field training, contracting approval process and manage contract development. This role will ensure the pricing integrity across stakeholders. This position will reside in the Managed Markets team, interfacing internally with the US Commercial brand teams, finance, Government Pricing and Global brand and pricing teams.
Responsibilities:
. Develop and implement pricing, reimbursement and channel strategies that enable Managed Markets to continue to positively impact the business through superior market access for emerging products. Focus on innovation and developing a sustainable competitive advantage for product life cycle through disciplined discounting and channel strategies.
. Maintain strong collaborative relationship with the brand team, business partners and Global leadership for the purpose of strengthening the coordination of planning to optimizing product opportunities and minimizing payer disruption. This collaboration will also contribute to maximizing value offering to Managed Market customers.
. Drive operational excellence by implementing process improvements for Managed Markets operations. Establish systematic approach to scaling processes to meet growing commercial needs, specifically in rebate management and government pricing.
. Support Gross to Net Sales team in developing, forecasting and driving results for the brands. Work closely with Brand to develop cross functional strategies to support business growth through payer and channel partners.
. As part of Managed Markets team, develop personal interaction with key payer customers to support value based relationships. This is accomplished primarily through account level business planning and accompanying account managers during account calls and attendance at industry trade and association meetings. Represent the field account management team and customer perspective to internal constituents, including senior management.
. Membership and contribution to the Managed Markets and Reimbursement Team, its mission and its spirit, including input on important elements of managed markets and reimbursement strategy and collaboration with fellow team members.
