Support Engineer
AtDataXu, our support team plays the critical role of handling technical escalations and managing their resolution for customers. ADataXuSupport Engineer is presented with unique and new experiences every day, and requires someone who is naturally curious, motivated by complex challenges, and willing to work hard in a team environment. He/she should be interested in both quickly triaging a wide variety of requests and digging deeply into specific problems when necessary while ensuring that all actions are well documented. Lastly, a Support Engineer must be excited by learning new technologies as well as our business, enabling him/her to diagnose both the technical issue but also understand the relative priority and impact.
Responsibilities:
ï,·Investigate and resolve technical issues to determine root cause and drive solutions.
ï,·Develop scripts and other automated tools to assist in the diagnosis/debugging of issues
ï,·Monitor the delivery of SLA based reports and other critical services, providing communications to both internal and external customers during incidents.
ï,·Ensure each customer, internal and external, receives a world-class support experience
ï,·Participate in the QA process by verifying and escalating bugs reported by internal and external customers
ï,·Build and maintain relationships across the organization to facilitate the rapid resolution of escalated issues
ï,·Ensure all customers have access to the latest product information by building and maintaining knowledge base articles, FAQs, and other support tools
ï,·Acquire broad and deep knowledge of all of the platform features and capabilities
ï,·Participation in an on-call rotation
Requirements:
ï,·Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
ï,·2+ years technical support, engineering, and/or technical consulting experience with commercial enterprise software platforms
ï,·Industry experience in media a plus
ï,·Innovative problem solving in a changing environment
ï,·Highly organized and detail oriented
ï,·Foundational knowledge of web technologies such as HTTP, HTML, JSON, JavaScript.
ï,·Strong knowledge of relational databases and proficiency with SQL
ï,·Experience coding in Java, Ruby or Python
ï,·Basic knowledge of BASH
ï,·Knowledge of map reduce and other "big data" technologies a plus
ï,·Bachelor-Ts Degree from a Four-Year College or University
ï,·Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related major a plus
