Location: NY-Buffalo
GPO is responsible for execution of more than $2 trillion per day in high value clearing activity. The LATAMEX operational unit supports cash management processing and payment execution for Citi branches in South America, Central America, Mexico and the Caribbean region. Activities include; DDA account opening, payment instruction authentication, manual data entry, transaction validation and repair, sanction screening, and associated process reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities:
. Manage daily activities of team including appropriate resource allocation, setting and reviewing performance objectives, goals and target productivity
. Provide coaching and feedback for general performance management issues, such as productivity and quality through a formalized review process
. Participate in development and training plans, as needed
. Create and monitor appropriate metrics for the area as agreed upon with Manager
. Ensure overall operating efficiency
. Serve as the primary first point of escalation for staff members and internal and external clients
. Network/navigate through the organization in order to troubleshoot escalated issues and bring appropriate closure
. Identify opportunity and implement process improvements, service enhancements, or technology enhancements
. Train team on new procedures or process changes
. Create, develop and maintain business relationships
. Identify control deficiencies and implement appropriate procedures and controls to mitigate risk and loss
. Identify opportunities to reduce expense through improved technology builds or process changes
. Participate in projects and other initiatives as assigned
. Participate in internal and external Audits
. Control system entitlement and access levels through review in EERS
. 2 years experience in an Operations environment
. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and empower people
. Demonstrated people leadership and management experiences, including coaching and mentoring skills
. Strong planning, organization and process management experience
. Proficient in Excel, Word and Access
. Strong focus on controls
. A quick learner, comfortable with and able to manage complex systems and environments
. Excellent oral and written communication skills
. Ability to multi-task
. Proven solution driven approach to problem solving
. Customer orientation (internal and external) with a commitment to quality
. Proficient in Spanish
