Chief Transmission Engineer

Registration and designation as a Professional Engineer (PE) required to enable assignment flexibility.
Minimum 9 years of relevant experience. Master's degree in related engineering discipline can substitute for one year of experience. PhD degree in related engineering discipline can substitute for up to three years of experience
or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, skills, knowledge, abilities and experience.
Valid driver's license

Job Description: Serves as a technical specialist for the Region in electrical transmission line design and construction administration in the application of advanced theories, concepts, principles or processes for an assigned area of responsibility (i.e., subject matter, function, type of facility or industry).
Works on more technical and unique projects.
Plans and develops segments of engineering projects with unique or controversial problems that have an important effect on major organization programs, which involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope and selection of problems for investigation, and development of novel concepts and approaches.
Reviews contract bidding and administration.
May be responsible for final release of design to client.
Revenue/sales targets, as outlined by the Office Leads technical proposals.
Essentially administrative supervision, with assignments given in terms of broad general objectives and limits.
Conceives, plans and conducts consultation in areas of considerable scope and complexity.
With a greater degree of freedom, works on very complex, technical projects.
Trains and evaluates less experienced staff.
May manage employees and supervise staff to complete assignments.
