Histotechnologist Laboratory Services - Sisters of Charity Hospital Saint Joseph Campus (CH):Primary responsibilities include the preparation of slides of body samplings to provide information for the diagnosis and treatment of patients and to assist the pathologist as required during grossing and/or autopsies. 
 REPORTS TO: Histology Supervisor and/or URL Manager/Supervisor; Pathologist

SKILL AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS (MINIMUM):
 EDUCATION:·         Associates degree in Histology, Medical Laboratory Technology or related discipline required.·         In lieu of the educational requirement, five (5) years histology laboratory experience may be substituted.
·         NYS Licensure Required (as of 9/1/2006)
 
CREDENTIALS:
·         NYS Licensure Required (as of 12/31/2008): Clinical Laboratory TechnicianORHistotechnican
 
KNOWLEDGE SKILL AND ABILITY:
·         Ability to work in stressful situations
·         Ability to work safely with infectious material and/or hazardous material
·         Customer focused
·         Computer literacy preferred
