Job Description Practice of registered professional nursing by a nurse practitioner may include the diagnosis of illness and physical conditions and the performance of therapeutic and corrective measures within a specialty of practice, in collaboration with a licensed physician qualified to collaborate in the specialty involved, provided such services are performed in accordance with a written practice agreement and written practice protocols.
Minimum or Preferred Qualifications Graduate from an accredited Midwife or relevant NP (Adult or Family) program required. Current NYS registration as a Registered Professional Nurse and Nurse Practitioner required. Two (2) years of clinical experience in specialty area of practice (Critical Care) as RN or NP preferred.
ANCC or national certification in area of specialty (Adult or Family) required within two (2) years of hire. Agreement from appropriate physician to enter into a collaborative agreement.
