Physical Therapist Assistant - Sub Acute (St.Francis Williamsville):Implement Physical Therapy services for residents of the Therapy Department under the supervision of the PT, or Director of Rehab. These services include but are not limited to: screening, assisting structured assessments, carrying out treatments designed by the PT, documentation and, provision of inservices and attendance at meetings.
 REPORTS TO: 
PT, Director of Rehab
 
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Volunteers, aides and students
 
SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS (MINIMUM):
EDUCATION:
·        Must have AAS from accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
·        Licensed by state ofNew Yorkto practice as a PTA
 
EXPERIENCE:·        Experience in a Long Term Care Facility preferred
 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:
·        Must be able to read, write and speak the English language
·        Communication skills which may be inclusive of approach, tone of voice, speed of communication, respectfulness and non verbal communication
 WORKING CONDITIONS:·        Long periods of standing, walking, lifting if necessary
