Job Description:
The Department of Art and Design at The College of Saint Rose is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time, tenure track Assistant Professor of Graphic Design, beginning in Fall 2013. Primary teaching responsibilities include teaching from beginning to advanced courses in interactive web design and other digital media. Candidates must also be able to teach graphic design at all levels within the undergraduate graphic design curriculum.
As a member of The College of Saint Rose faculty, the applicant is expected to: teach assigned courses in accordance with relevant academic policies; participate in academic advising, program assessment, recruitment events, and student portfolio reviews; and engage in professional practice, scholarship/creative design and exhibition.
The Department of Art and Design at The College of Saint Rose is an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Art and Design.
Requirements:
MFA in Graphic Design, or equivalent foreign educational degree, graphic design and/or expertise in current web/interactive design applications, professional design experience, expertise in current tools and technologies of web design, and minimum one year teaching at the college or university level required.
