Within GE Intelligent Platforms, Inc. (GEIP), our Commercial Proposal Analysts are key members of a cross-functional team who are responsible for supporting our software & services sales organization to evolve customer opportunities during the course of the sales cycle into successfully executable and profitable solution offerings.
Essential Responsibilities This role involves working closely with our Software Architects and Pre-Sales Consultants to translate customer requirements into a project scope and estimate that will be documented in a formal commercial contract. The Commercial Proposal Analyst will lead cross functional business teams, including legal, finance & product marketing, to generate commercial proposals that clearly define profitable and compliant deals that exceeds our customer expectations.

. Ability to come quickly up to speed on new technologies and how they can apply to customer needs. GEIP is a market leader in a number of cutting edge technologies (including Big Data, Cloud Based Computing and Mobile Visualization), and although in depth software knowledge is not required, you will need to quickly gain a high level understanding of new products as they are released to enable you effectively communicate with our customers, software architects and consultants.
. Complete opportunity lifecycle development including: technical requirement reviews, proposal planning, customer onsite assessments, solution estimates & pricing, risk management, deal analytics/reviews, 3rd party coordination & negotiations, technical & commercial documentation, analysis of Terms & Conditions.
. Development and continuous evolution of global proposal standards, templates, and self-serve tools that drive consistency & repeatability in deliverables, reduce cycle time, and improve overall deal profitability. Including the use of commercial software and sales tools to manage proposal workflow & develop pipeline forecasts
. Maintain industry contacts and 3rd party industry data sources to stay current on industry trends and developments for strategic solutions, utilizing our GEIP products
Qualifications/Requirements . BS degree or equivalent in Science or Engineering
. Minimum of 5 years of commercial experience, including proposal development and project estimates in a technical field Čor Minimum of 5 years software project experience within the industrial automation/MES or infrastructure monitoring and analytics space.
. Proven leader with the ability to engage/motivate cross-functional teams and drive fast results
. High effective communication skills
. Proven negotiation skills

Desired Characteristics . Master of Business Administration (MBA) or similar post graduate qualification in business or marketing
. Experience in proposal management, including knowledge of commercial contract negotiation and risk management
. Able to travel both domestically & internationally
. Domain expertise in software solutions for Infrastructure, manufacturing and/or analytics,
. Demonstrated experience with GE Intelligent Platforms' products & solutions
