The Occupational Therapist evaluates, plans and implements treatment, and makes recommendations regarding patients referred for Occupational Therapy services. The Occupational Therapist assists patients to reach their maximum level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. Position requires the ability to care for patients of all ages. Position primarily works with outpatient population, but will also assist in other areas such as inpatient rehab., acute care, and / or long term care when caseload allows.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor of Science or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
-NYS license as an Occupational Therapist
-Must be certified by NBCOT as an Occupational Therapist, Registered
-CPR Certification Requires (BLS)
-Basic computer knowledge preferred
-Must have strong written and verbal skills
-Knowledge of Occupational Therapy modalities and equipment used in a physical disabilities setting
-Previous experience preferred
