Position primarily works with outpatient population.Therapist is responsible for evaluation, planning, directing and administering physical therapy following a referral by a licensed professional as described in the New York Physical Therapy Practice Act. Use advanced technology and best practice techniques tailored to meet the individual needs of patients. Work as a vital member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team to restore function and prevent disability of patients following injury, disease or physical disability. Assists patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. When caseload allows is expected to assist in other areas such as inpatient rehabilitation or long term care when needed.
Qualifications:
-Graduate of an accredited college-university school of physical therapy
-Possess a temporary permit or license from NYS
-Professional appearance, positive attitude, and excellent attendance record
