Job Description: The Client Strategy Analyst will implement and maintain analyses and business reviews related to customer segmentation, customer and channel behavior, market drivers, customer life-cycle strategies, and profitability for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage (WFHM), focusing on the existing serviced mortgage portfolio (including HAMP), not acquisitions. Process large amounts of customer data, using database marketing tools and methods to understand drivers of customer behavior and how WFHM impacts that behavior. Make recommendations on strategy to senior leadership based on findings. Work closely with Marketing, Finance, and Risk partners to integrate learnings on client behavior into actionable recommendations that matter to the line of business. Demonstrate eagerness to learn new methodologies, data systems, and business practices as part of the daily job function. Consult with internal marketing team to identify and define needs for customer insights; translate those needs into analysis-based recommendations that solve business problems. Think outside-the-box to find specific answers to open-ended questions. Responsibilities include: customer segmentations and profiles; manipulation of multiple large datasets to find trends, population sizings, relationships, etc; evaluation of customer retention, satisfaction and other marketing efforts; identification of opportunities for additional insights; clear presentation and interpretation of results with recommendations to non-technical partners and management; explanation of analytic learnings in meaningful business terms to partners in both formal and informal communications.
Minimum Qualifications: -Bachelors Degree in marketing, business, finance, economics or a related discipline is required -4 years experience in a quantitative analysis role, with an emphasis on driving results through partnership across functional areas / lines of business; -Familiarity with SAS/SQL or equivalent; a high degree of flexibility and the ability to achieve results in a self-directed environment are a must. -Excellent business partnership skills are requisite for this position along with a high level of polish and professionalism in written and verbal communications. -Strong knowledge of mortgage products, underwriting criteria or other related experience, as well as familiarity with Wells Fargo databases - particularly Mortgage - are highly valued.
Preferred Skills: Masters degree or relevant professional credential (CPA/CFA/PMP)
