Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for various Human Resources functions in the General Office, including helping in the areas of hiring Team Members, answering Team Member questions, and various other duties.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Assist the Department and Hiring Managers with the Recruitment Process:
* Conduct phone interviews with potential candidates
* Complete reference checks and background checks as needed
* Schedule on-site interviews and travel arrangements and communicate the details with the candidate, Hiring Manager and Corporate HR Coordinator
* Conduct internal searches of Team Members for current and future openings
* Send out rejection letters as needed
* Complete employment verifications
* Edit job descriptions and help post open positions in various locations
* Review and distribute online applications to the appropriate location or HR Coordinator
* 360-Degree Feedback Surveys
* Assist Corporate HR department with the entire process, including facilitation and coordination of the 360 degree feedback surveys that are administered company wide
* Other Tasks:
* Conduct exit interviews
* Answer Managers and Team Member’s questions
* Attend disciplinary meetings as a witness
* Assist with hiring fairs held in Eau Claire, WI
* Help coordinate yearly Instant Profit Sharing meetings
* Assist with training seminars as needed
* Assist with the Menards Safety Program
* Help with the random drug testing program
* Conduct Team Member Interviews with General Office Team Members and note career goals, education history and accomplishments in the Career Tracking program
* Other tasks as assigned by the Corporate HR Manager

Skills/Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
* Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management and within three semesters of graduation
* Ability to work independently, as well as cooperate with others
* Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities
* Must be willing to work an average of 15-20 hours per week during the school year and 40 hours per week during the summer
