Honeywell is seeking a Business Development Manager to add to their growing team!
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for successfully developing new business opportunities with named targeted new multi-site customers in the national big box and theatre space. These business opportunities are typically financially-based, bundled business solutions which are sold at the VP" and ''C'' levels within multi-site prospects. The BDM may assist other sales professionals in planning, strategizing, developing and closing complex solution opportunities with new and existing accounts. This position consists of 75% business development activities along with 25% account management activities. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge and worked in a senior level position serving the multi-site retail sector including end use clients, OEMs and segment partners. . Prospect and develop new national multi-site retail clients for our building automation, enterprise software, and technology solutions.
. Develop and maintain current and comprehensive understanding of the multi-site market as seen by the executive level of clients.
. High level relationship selling skills.
. Coordinates with and is supported technically by the Commercial Engineering team.
. Typically manages eight to twelve potential deals at any given time.
. Provides timely and accurate reports to management on activities and customer status.
. Demonstrates executive selling skills and experience.
. Demonstrates consultative / solution selling skills.
Travel Required: 50%
. Bachelor Degree in Business, Marketing or Engineering or in lieu of Bachelor's degree, 4 years relevant experience.
. 7 years selling experience to the executive level suite.
. 10 years of demonstrated selling success in the multi-site, energy and/or HVAC/R market space.
