Assists in development of patient discharge plan. Coordinates patient care flow through appropriate levels of care, collaborating with others. Practices utilization management, determining medical necessity of admission and continued stay using Interqual criteria. Resolves utilization denials.Initiates and maintains positive relationships with patients/customers.Initiates and maintains positive relationships with co-workers. Takes responsibility for self-development and supports a learning environment. Displays commitment to the mission of the hospital and its values.
Position Requirements:Three (3) to five (5) years clinical nursing experience. Demonstrated understanding of hospital''s financial principles. Working knowledge of Interqual criteria, MIDAS and ECIN preferred. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills both written and verbal, as well as, exhibiting strong organizational skills and work ethic. Demonstrates a professional demeanor when responding to patients/customers. Proficient computer skills, including MS Office products. Familiar with operation of standard office equipment.
Education Requirements:Bachelor degree in Nursing from an accredited program preferred. Participation in case manager training.
License Requirements:Registered Nurse and current Ohio licensure.
