This position exists to perform research, design and software development assignments within a specific software functional area or product line.
Accountabilities:
. Codes proficiently in the required language(s) on simple to moderate complex systems.
. Performs unit testing based upon test plans generated and reports results to his/her project leader.
. Writes and reviews portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of simple to moderate complexity.
. Ability to learn large, simple-to-moderate complexity systems
. Interfaces with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements. Works under Direction of team lead
. Remains current on industry standards and advances within area of expertise.
. Writes and reviews portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of simple to moderate complexity.
. Finds and recommends opportunities for continuous improvement.
. Ability to work with Internal Customers
. Ability to provide oversight to vendor resources when assigned.
. Consults within project teams to ensure integrity of existing fabrication processes.
. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
* 5 years of experience developing web applications in Java.
* Bachelor''s degree in computer science, computer engineering, math or equivalent technical discipline or equivalent technical experience.
* Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate and positively contribute with all stakeholders, customers, architects, consulting software engineers, testing organizations, IT infrastructure and other engineering teams, as well as adapt to the level of the audience;
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Ability to lead major technical project design, engineering and integration efforts with attention to detail and closure.
* Ability to provide both detailed information and also summarize to a management level.
