Responsible for supporting strategic sourcing for raw materials within assigned categories. Develops and executes standardized strategic sourcing processes for assigned categories. Locate and evaluate sources, benchmark costs, create and maintain contracts, monitor KPI-Ts. Builds and maintains strong working relationships with internal business partners and key suppliers. Supports other functional strategic sourcing through research, analysis and communication. Works very closely with Operational Buyers.
· Source and develop raw material suppliers for specific product applications. Investigate new materials. Execute purchasing activities from the development and implementation of the sourcing strategy to the management of agreements and vendors for a defined category.
o Collect and analyze category data and develop the internal and external category profile
o Work with customers (OpCo-Ts) to gather and assess requirements
o Develop fact-based negotiation strategies and assist in conducting negotiations with vendors
o Develop Requests for Information (RFI) with potential vendors
o Develop Request for Proposals (RFP) and Requests for Quotes (RFQ), assess results, document recommendations and communicate results to vendors
o Updates and maintain all PPV-Ts and scorecard monthly reports
Manages the 7 step strategic sourcing strategy and utilizes Ariba for all bidding activities
· Manage vendor relationships, track performance and communicate vendor performance feedback
o Create and maintain vendor agreements
o Monitor compliance with vendor agreements
o Work with Operational Buyers and internal customers to ensure satisfaction
* Define and execute the implementation plan for assigned categories
* Identify transition activities, timeline, ownership, etc
* Oversee implementation activities, assess and mitigate potential implementation risks
* Reconcile potential strategic sourcing outcomes and action plans with business partners prior to executing the sourcing initiative, to eliminate executional barriers
* Work closely and communicate frequently with business unit stakeholders - Manufacturing, Finance, Quality Assurance, Product Development, Supply Chain to adequately understand and meet Business Unit legitimate needs and requirements
* Develop and execute initiatives and strategies that deliver strategic savings and meet or exceed business objectives
· Assist and support Group Purchasing Manager with categories
o Fulfills daily requests from operating companies
* Work with Operational Buyers and internal customers to ensure satisfaction
* Create Business Warehouse Report
* Daily communication with Operating Company plants

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
Bachelors Degree required , preferably with emphasis in fiance, supply chain, business or food science. Travel Requirements - up to 25%
EXPERIENCE:
Candidate must be detailed-oriented and a self-starter. Proven ability to adapt to change, ability to work across boundaries and boarders, and strong decision maker. Excellent communicator. Demonstrated skills in collaboration. Strong analytical skills, excellent knowledge of excel. Effective skills in financial, market and vendor analysis. Proven ability to define and create total cost of ownership models.
