Electrical Engineer

Job Description:
DLR Group, an employee-owned national A/E firm ranked #1 in architecture by Architect Magazine in 2012, has a great career opportunity for an experienced, dynamic individual to lead the Electrical Engineering Department of an integrated design practice in our downtown Denver, Colorado office. The successful candidate will work in a collaborative setting with other engineers, architects, planners and designers on commercial, educational, sports and institutional facilities.
Professional electrical engineering registration with 10+ years of experience in these building types is preferred, as well as experience and/or interest in commercial building systems, power distribution, lighting, fire alarm systems, sustainable design, including energy modeling, commissioning, and LEED certification process.
As the Electrical Engineering Discipline Leader, this individual will be responsible for managing and mentoring DLR Group's electrical engineering staff, and for the quality of the design and construction documents prepared under his or her direction, and assisting the team with marketing efforts related to electrical engineering. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual, interested in leading and mentoring a team in a collaborative setting.
This position requires strong communication skills, leadership, and computer skills (REVIT, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, KSM power tools, and AGI or electrical design software). The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with Electrical emphasis.
