Currently, we are seeking a talented Actuary to join the Risk Team in the Retirement Solutions Division.
Here's what you'll be doing:
.Provide comprehensive support for the development and implementation of innovative VA hedging/risk management solutions to manage complex risk exposures encompassing actuarial, financial, and capital markets.
.Support initiatives to enhance the existing VA hedging programs and risk management processes to improve performance.
.Assist with the development, maintenance, and/or documentation of financial models and/or modeling processes in support of evolving VA hedging, financial projections, and/or other risk management needs.
.Assist with the development, generation, and/or analysis of management reports that quantify key performance metrics and risk exposures to effectively meet internal/external demands.
.Follow established processes and procedures to ensure compliance with guidelines, timely communication of analytics, and robust control of models and data.
.Collaborate effectively with business partners from different areas within and outside of the risk management team on cross-functional projects and initiatives.
Factors for success:
.3+ years of prior VA experience required, preferably in the area of VA risk management/hedging.
.Understanding of VA liabilities and financial metrics/methodologies, including FAS133/157 reserves, MCEV, etc.
.Excellent computer skills, particularly in actuarial modeling and programming.
.Good communications skills and the ability to articulate technical issues, ideas, and/or recommendations to non-technical audience.
.ASA/FSA/CQF/PRM/FRM/CFA/Quant degrees preferred.
