Farmers Cooperative is currently seeking someone to receive, manufacture, and deliver agronomy products in a manner that maximizes departmental effectiveness along with assisting agronomy and grain operations when applicable.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & FUNCTIONSinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.
. Assist with the training and development of location employees.
. As needed, participate in employee performance evaluations and development plans.
. Hire, motivate, and lead hourly employees with manager assistance.
. Coordinate outbound and inbound positioning of all agronomy products.
. Communicate daily activities, needs, & accomplishments with Location Manager.
. Assist in coordinating and monitoring outside contractors.
. Assist in housekeeping and maintenance of facility grounds including mowing, spraying weeds and moving snow.
. Measure and calculate or count inventory of dry and liquid fertilizers, NH3, lime, and chemicals.
. Operate all equipment & vehicles according to FC policy and procedure along with all local, state,
and federal laws.
. Ensure safety compliance.
. Manage pest control in facilities.
. Order packaged chemicals.
. Operate and understand FC AS400 and all plant control systems.
. Conduct and log scheduled equipment maintenance to FC standards.
. Provide courteous customer service.
Education
Requirements:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associate''s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other Requirements: CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Chemical handlers license or if at seed treatment facility a Commercial Applicators license with proper endorsements or able to obtain one. Must have a valid CDL driver's license with air brake, tanker, and hazardous materials endorsements or be able to obtain one. This position requires the safe operation of a motor vehicle to perform the essential functions of the job. The employee must meet the qualifications set forth in FC's motor vehicle safety policy. Failure to meet these qualifications could result in removal from this position.
