The Building Construction Products (BCP) Division is a global division of Caterpillar, Inc. that employs several thousand employees located at over 8 facilities worldwide. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Environmental, Health & Safety team with advancing and maintaining EHS programs, providing guidance to internal customers on potential improvements, and driving a Safety First culture.
- Assist the EHS team with updating and developing safety and environmental programs and supporting procedures, and integrating these procedures into an existing facility database.
- Assist in alignment and development of training modules for annual safety compliance training.
- Potentially perform in-house industrial hygiene sampling and documentation, or assist with ergonomic assessments and defining process improvements based on Safety FMEA data.
- Assist with recordkeeping and other routineactivities.
Qualifications:
THIS IS AN INTERNSHIP POSITION AND ALL APPLICANTS MUST BE REGISTERED AS FULL TIME STUDENTS TO APPLY.
We are seeking full-time students enrolled in a BA/BS degree program. Degrees sought but not limited to include: Industrial Hygiene, Industrial Engineering, Safety, Environmental Engineering or Environmental Studies or completion of related course work. Students should possess a minimum GPA of 2.8.
The position requires strong initiative, communication, interpersonal and leadership skills. The ideal candidate would possess strong problem solving and people skills. Proficiency in Microsoft computer software is a must.
