Description: A large Midwestern company is currently looking for a Plant Superintendent to join its team. The qualified candidate will have experience in oils or bio-energy and must be open to living in the Midwest. The qualifications and functions are below:
Essential Job Functions:
1. Supervises daily plant activities through training employees determining methods for employee work scheduling and conducting employee performance appraisals. 2. Oversees maintenance of plant inventory including product storage inspection product and part purchase approval and product transportation coordination. 3. Monitors and maintains facility cleanliness safety and quality control. 4. Reviews and reports financial operations and production data. 5. Develops plans and executes the capital and expense budgets for the facility. 6. Coordinates with other departments to ensure efficient and accurate operations. * 7. Performs other duties as assigned by management. *
Knowledge Skills and Abilities: 1. Knowledge of the multiple facets of producing a finished product from a raw source. 2. Knowledge of industry regulations and guidelines. 3. Knowledge of supervisory techniques to accomplish instruction training and motivation of employees. 4. Skill in effective written and oral communication. 5. Skill in mathematical computation and accounting. 6. Skill in problem solving and analytical thinking. 7. Skill in operating various office equipment including personal computer printer calculator copy machine telephone and facsimile machine. 8. Ability to remain flexible and responsive when faced with multiple priorities and requests. 9. Ability to work with diverse individuals and groups. 10. Ability to make sound and timely decisions with the information available. 11. Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Education and Experience: BS/BA required, Engineering preferred. Five years or equivalent of management and/or processing or related chemical field experience is required.
