ABOUT THE POSITION
We are currently seekingfull-time Construction Inspectorsto be based in ourManchester & Trumbull, Connecticutoffices.
The Construction Inspectors will be responsible for inspection and administrative functions associated with transportation related projects.
The Inspectors will monitor Contractor operations (i.e. grading, drainage, pavement, and landscaping) and verify conformance with project plans and specifications.
From an administrative standpoint, the Construction Inspectors shall prepare daily reports, correspondence, change orders, periodic payment estimates, quantity computations, secure material sampling and testing, and prepare final project documentation.
Position Requirements
* Bachelors or Associates Degree with at least 3 years of experience OR High School Diploma/GED equivalent and 5 years of experience.
* N.I.C.E.T II level or above required
* P.E. preferred
* Considerable knowledge of construction materials, methods and procedures.
* Ability to maintain field and office records
* Perform complex quantity and engineering computations
* Interpret plans and specifications
