Description Regional Distribution Coordinator
Position Summary:
The Regional Distribution Coordinator is responsible for regional ownership of all physical distribution needs for customer and replenishment orders. This position requires a demonstration of team commitment to support the business. Responsibilities include utilizing the transportation management system to validate optimal order consolidation and exception management. Breakthrough thinking will be required to pro-actively review KPIs to identify and recommend distribution solutions that are within strategy. The KPIs include but are not limited to on-time and carrier acceptance.
The role will support current and new transportation sourcing strategies that will identify opportunities to drive the business forward. It will be necessary to deliver through teams and leverage internal resources for long-term resolution. In addition, trailer pools will be collaboratively managed with shipping facilities and carriers to ensure on-time pick up and delivery. The planner will raise the bar to identify new growth opportunities. Reviewing, maintaining and potentially reducing targeted freight budget goals through accessorial analysis is essential for this growth.
Position Responsibilities:
1. Monitor, identify gaps and collaboratively plan carrier equipment needs with distribution centers, plants, co-packers, etc. (Capacity Planning, Trailer pools, etc.)
2. Responsible for the creation of customer and replenishment shipment documents using the appropriate tendering system
3. Accountable for daily review of pending offers to the carriers, resolving load planning, tendering, and delivery exceptions in SAP
4. Collaboratively work with Specialists and Co-Located Planners to measure carrier performance and attempt resolution to improve KPIs
. Carrier acceptance / rejection review
. Trailer pool adherence
. Review of No Show/Late Ship report
. Carrier capacity planning review
. Monthly accessorial / budget review
5. Exception management and resolution of batch jobs
. Validation of TMS consolidation
. Manual tendering (short lead time orders, LTL orders)
. Resolution of all exception based bulk and inbound freight movement
6. Continuously resolve SAP Workflow IDOC errors, incl. ROI/TMS business workplace errors
Scope
Work with numerous systems including: SAP SD, TMS, Transportation Business Center, Internet processes and systems
Maintains internal and external relationships across the HPC network

Skills & Competencies
Education & Training: Bachelors Degree or equivalent relevant experience
Work Experience: 1 to 3 years Logistics Supply Chain experience a plus
