RN - Regional Renal Services
Department: Regional Renal Serv - HEMO OP
Schedule: Part Time or Full Time Hours
Works under the supervision of the Hemodialysis Coordinator of the Regional Renal Services. The RN assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and supervises individual patient care on a nursing unit according to policies and procedures while maintaining standards of the State Nurse Practice Act.
Education:Nursing degree from an approved program in nursing. Bachelors of Science preferred. Licensure:License to practice professional nursing in the state of North Dakota. Experience:No previous experience required. Skills:Working knowledge of basic clinical skills in delivery of patient care. Basic Life Support Certification within 480 hours of employment and meets re-certification as required.Interpersonal Skills:Good communication skills are necessary because of the constant communication, both oral and written, with patients, families, visitors, and medical center staff. Accountable for own conduct and promotes and supports positive working relationships among staff, between other disciplines, departments, families, visitors and patients. Maintains confidentiality. Hours of Work:Flexible days. Rotating holidays and weekends. Other:Works under the following conditions: potential exposure to mechanical, chemical, electrical and infectious environmental hazards. Able to perform effectively in emergency and stressful situations.
