Description
1st SHIFT - 7 AM TO 3 PM - FIBERS DIVISION
Job Summary:Responsible for safe and effective use of equipment, coordinates Line Operatorassignments within the work cell to meet customer quality requirements per control plans / standard operating procedures, customer deliveries, quality, production rates and 6S standards. Keep line hour by hour boards, downtime issues and other data current, and assist with die sets.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Verify all safety devices are operating correctly at start of each shift using safety check off list. Report all safety concerns to Team Leader / Shift Manger / Maintenance Responsible for the safe operation of equipment, tools and for practicing safe working habits at all times.
* Verify equipment control settings are in compliance with Control Plan prior to line operation.
* Responsible for complying with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Control Plans and work instructions. Ensures that Line Operators are also operating within compliance.
* Under the direction of the Team Leader, lead and direct members of the production line.
* Responsible for operation of equipment and production of product as follows:
A. Part Number and quantity of produced to meet schedule requirements provided by Team Leader.
B. The product manufactured shall meet the design and quality specifications.
C. The product shall be packed and labeled in accordance with the Control Plan.
D. Equipment is operated and maintained in accordance to SOP / Control Plan
E. Assure Line Hour-By-Hour production board data is always current
* Ensure line is staged with proper materials prior to die sets and assist die setters as needed.
* Troubleshoot problems that may impact productivity, scrap or product quality. Immediately inform Team Leader of actions taken or risk of below target performance.
* Develop and maintain open lines of communication with the rest of the line so that off-target performance is immediately recognized and addressed.
* Properly dispose of all scrap and waste material
* Be the Champion of 6S, assure work cell and surrounding areas are clean and well organized at all times.
* Assist with training of Line Operators.
* Cross train on other production lines to maximize operating flexibility.
* Perform basic Oracle transactions - Accountable for accurate reporting of materials used, scrap and good piece counts.
* Perform other related activities as required.
* Must be able to work extended hours as required.
Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities Required for Consideration as a Candidate:
Must be able to read, write and speak English.
* Must possess good math skills.
* Must demonstrate ability to operate multiple pieces of equipment (i.e. set-up, troubleshooting, obtaining quality and run rates, etc.)
* Must demonstrate leadership skills
Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
High school graduate or equivalent equipment experience.
* Must be trainable for use of Oracle production line reporting modules, QI Analyst, and other required production data reporting

* Responsible for production line settings matching the SOP/Control Plan without proper sign-off to deviate.
* Responsible for completing quality checks per SOP/Control Plan and has the authority to shut down the line if producing off quality.

Job Summary:The Manufacturing Technician’s primary role is to work as a member of the production Line Team. In addition, this role will be responsible for providing basic mechanical troubleshooting and repair as needed. This role will also participate in trials and interface as needed with the engineering and new product development groups to insure smooth transition of new products and product changes to the manufacturing floor.

* Support production requirements as required as an equipment operator
* Provide basic mechanical troubleshooting and repair as needed
* Test and document results of completed production processes
* Perform set-up operations/verifications to support production
* Perform critical machine alignments to ensure product specifications are met
* Adhere to and complete documentation requirementsper established procedures
* Work with engineering and new product development groups to ensure new products and product changes are smoothly transitioned to the manufacturing floor
* Maintain work area in a clean, neat and organized manner
* Comply with all company policies and procedures including safety regulations, Personal Protective Equipment requirements, Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, Quality System Regulations, and Good Manufacturing Practices
* Perform other duties as required
Minimum Education, Experience, and/or Skills Required:
* Strong oral and written communication and organizational skills
* Must be capable of completing assembly and test records for regulatory requirements
* Ability to read schematics and technical drawings
* Ability to perform complex test operations and operate and maintain test equipment
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office Applications
* High School diploma or equivalent
* 3 to 5 years experience in related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
