Drafting/CAD Technician

Adecco Engineering and Technical, a division of the world leader in the recruitment of engineering and information technology professionals, has an immediate opening for a Mechanical Drafting/ CAD Technician on a --CONTRACT TYPE-- opportunity with a leading company in Wilmington, North Carolina.
In this position candidates will:
Provide mechanical drafting, design and technical support. Prepare 2D and 3D designs/drawings from sketches, existing equipment and from engineer''s directions. Create BOM''s as required. Print and prepare drawing packages for release. Work with vendors to obtain pricing & delivery information with follow through to material delivery. Generate redlines and update design documents. Provide technical support to tradesmen assembling industrial equipment.
Requirements: Required skills/experience: Experience with 3D modeling in CAD area - Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Solid Works, or Pro/E preferred. Experience in mechanical detailing. Familiar with industrial manufacturing environment. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Desired skills/experience: Mechanical design experience in manufacturing, automation or process industries. Hands on experience assembling, maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical systems.
Soft skills: General computer knowledge, use websites to locate information, use of MS Office Suite of products, dependable, good at following through on commitments, organized, and fast learner, desire to work in team environment, communicates well.
Years experience: 2-4
Education: Associates in Mechanical Eng, Technology or equivalent, or Drafting required
Travel required: Yes - 25-50% of time to Concord, NC.
Duration 6 months +
