Overview:
Incumbent will be responsible for:
? Delivering effective and results oriented solutions in conjunction with our business leaders (i.e., education around a critical topic, business process change, company initiative, etc.) through various communication channels;
? Proactively prepare key business data analysis and makes sound recommendations to the employee base regarding HR products, services and programs (i.e. benefits, compensation practices, talent management, executive assimilation, etc.);
? Ensuring that objectives are set, communicated and are consistent with the overall business strategy of the organization;
? Partnering with clients to ensure that the performance management process accurately reflects employee performance;
? Consulting with clients to address performance issues through progressive counseling and possibly disciplinary action;
? Managing employee relations issues/investigations to effective resolution while ensuring consistent application of the company’s spirit, values and beliefs;
? Consulting with others on related or similar investigations;
? Ensuring that succession and personal development plans are completed in a timely manner and that managers are aptly equipped to deliver meaningful development discussions including proactive follow up;
? Identifying organizational capability, strengths and gaps with partners in order to develop and implement plans to close competency issues with defined action initiatives (i.e. staffing changes, development plans, etc.);
? Evaluating the effectiveness of career paths, job ladders and job/role descriptions to ensure validity and consistency of use among client groups;
? Communicating the company’s reward and retention philosophy to clients while ensuring that promotion and reward decisions correlate closely with the operating performance of business unit;
? Conducting equity and utilization analyzes of merit pay and other reward programs;
? Identifying compensation concerns that may legitimately impact client groups and working with compensation and the manager to obtain resolution.
Responsibilities:
BA/BS degree in related field and a minimum of 5 years of Human Resources experience including at least 3 years of experience as an HR Generalist are required. MBA, SPHR, and related industry experience are strongly preferred. In-depth knowledge of Human Resources and market trends, alternative approaches to Human Resources practices (i.e., change leadership; work/life policy, compensation, team facilitation, organizational development) are required. Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong critical thinking and problem solving skills, including the ability to perform root cause analysis are required.
Qualifications:
Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment. Frequently sits for 6-8 hours per day. Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists. Occasionally walks and stands. Occasionally bends and twists neck. Light to moderate lifting and carrying objects with a maximum lift of 25lbs. Frequently drives to site locations with occasional travel within the United States. Able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken and written words and sentences. Interacts with others, relates sensitive information to diverse groups. Must work with diverse groups to obtain consensus on issues.
