Job Description Recruiting candidates to fill the position of Bridge Designer in our growing Fuquay-Varina, NC office. This individuals will serve as part of a project team, actively participating in the design of various highway, bridge and related transportation projects under the direction of a registered professional engineer. Individuals will be involved with all aspects of bridge design and plan development, including field investigations, bridge inspection and evaluation, type studies, preliminary studies, detailed design, final plans &/ specifications, load rating, and services during construction. Initial assignments will include: bridge inspection, load rating, design, plan preparation, quantities and cost estimating.
Candidate Specification BS degree in Civil Engineering and certification as a registered professional engineer with 5 years work experience or an AS degree with 8-10 years of work experience.
NC P.E. preferred
MSCE a plus.
Candidates should possess strong interpersonal & communication skills to develop rapport with team members, sound technical writing and presentation skills, knowledge & familiarity with computer applications such as AutoCad, Microstation, STAAD, SAP 2000, LARSA, LARS, Merlin-DASH, Conspan, RC-Pier, and Estimator. Candidates must be proficient with Microsoft Office.
