Title: Corporate Systems Engineer

In this role, the Corporate Systems Engineer (CSE) will be responsible for providing pre and post sales engineering support for the global sales force. This position will be held accountable for helping the account teams achieve specific sales revenue goals as well as perform agreed upon major business objectives designed to further company wide business goals. This position is based in Chelmsford, MA and may require 10-20% travel.
The Corporate Systems Engineer responsibilities will include each the following:
. SME for all Arbor products and assist in answering questions from the field.
. SME for common network technologies and assist in answering questions from the field.
. Interface with development to understand features planned for new releases. Filter that information to the field during regular meetings/training.
. Liaison between Sales engineer and development in determining solutions to customer issues.
. Work with Sales engineers to architect and recommend specific deployment strategies/solutions of Arbor products for customers.
. Creation of design/operational documents for customers.
. Troubleshooting and resolving complex product issues discovered during customer trials/CPOC/operational deployments.
. On-site resource for the Executive Briefing Center (EBC).
. Project manage customer/partner CPOC testing on-site or at EBC.
. Assist business partners during integration and/or inter-operability testing for all Arbor products.. Responding to RFP/RFI/RFQs in coordination with Sales engineer.
. Previous Sales Engineering experience (min 8 years for SE, 5 years for Sr. SE) with a data network vendor, DPI equipment vendor, service provider or network security company including both presentation and hands-on responsibilities.
. Hands-on background in TCP/IP, routing topologies and protocols including BGP4 and MPLS is required. Strong Knowledge of other routing protocols such as OSPF, ISIS, and RIPv2 is preferred.
. Strong security background with knowledge of Firewall, IDS, IPS, Virus, Internet worms, DDoS, and network exploits.
. Network management understanding and experience of (SNMP, RMON, OpenView, Unicenter, Tivoli, Micromuse Netcool).
. Strong knowledge of Operating Systems (Windows, Solaris, Red Hat, Fedora, CentOS, OpenBSD)
. Strong knowledge of Juniper, Cisco and Alcatel HW/OS with hands-on experience. Knowledge of other routing platforms (Force10, Ericsson, etc.) is preferred.
. Understanding of Access control and authentication infrastructure (LDAP, RSA/Securant, Oblix, CMS, PKI, RADIUS/Tacacs ) is preferred.
. Previous experience successfully responding to RFIs, RFPs, RFQs to Fortune 1000 level customers including data service/hosting providers.
. Proven track record of helping sales teams close deals with Fortune 1000 customers by overcoming 'perceived' and real customer technical hurdles while at the same time articulating product technical value propositions and benefits.
