Position Summary:
Responsible for the safe, reliable and efficient operation of all Terminal equipment in connection with the receipt, storage, and transfer of petroleum products. Ensures that all Terminal equipment, including safety devices and systems are functioning properly. Reports any and all equipment failures to supervisor. Maintains good housekeeping standards at all times. Reconciles all product inventories, prints and verifies required reports, completes all compliance documentation and performs and documents all preventive maintenance inspections.
Issues work permits to contractors performing work at terminal and ensures that pre-job safety meetings, lock out - tag out, confined space entry, and hazardous atmosphere monitoring requirements are met for all work performed at the Terminal as well as ensure that all fellow employees, customers, visitors and contractors follow Company Policies and Procedures when accessing or working in the Terminal.
Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent. Must be dependable and able work with little or no supervision, be able to use basic hand tools, operate all product testing equipment, show proficiency in mathematics and computers and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, have and maintain a valid driver’s license for state of residence, be able to recognize color differences in product samples, be able to work outdoors in extreme weather and perform heavy physical labor. Must be able to climb heights in excess of 60’.

Special Considerations:
The Terminal Operator is expected to recognize and correct unsafe acts or conditions. Must be familiar with Terminal Emergency Plans, and able to implement in the event of an Environmental, Safety, Health, or Security incident at the Terminal. Coordinates Emergency Response activities until relieved by supervisor or management personnel. This position is subject to shift hold over or shift reassignment as well as call outs at all hours, including weekends and holidays. Required to carry a pager or cell phone.
