The Defense and Maritime Solutions Business Unit is currently seeking Six Sigma/Air Force Smart Operations Experts. We need qualified professionals for the 21st Century (AFSO21) to guide and assist the Government in determining the processes and common work products required to initiate, institutionalize, and sustain AFSO21 principles and practices across ACC. Our employees will guide and assist the Government in developing standard methodologies by which to choose future improvement initiatives, facilitate studies related to productivity and process improvement using tools such as AFSO21, Lean, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints, Value Stream analysis, Rapid Improvement Events, benchmarking, or process re-engineering, and 8-Step problem solving projects. This includes preparation for, execution of, and follow-up on all supported events. We will assist the Government in identifying specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and timely metrics for each AFSO21 event. Monitor performance improvements following AFSO21 events, and assist the Government in developing the business cases for sharing successes command-wide. We will also guide and assist the Government in developing organic AFSO21 capability throughout ACC. Travel to multiple worldwide locations may be required to support such activity. Assist the Government in researching current industry trends in process improvement for possible implementation. Finally, employees will assist the Government in developing a standardized, audience specific training program. Training includes multiple depths of training (e.g., awareness, facilitator, just-in-time at events) to multiple audiences (e.g., senior leaders, facilitator candidates, event participants). We will also assist the Government in presenting sanctioned and ACC/CCO supplemented Level I and Level II academic courses, and provide mentorship of candidates through their training events and/or projects.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS: AF or MAJCOM AFSO21 experience. Minimum of 2 years experience in process improvement activities, to include experience outside the automotive industry. Experience applying AFSO21 tools (e.g. Lean, Theory of Constraints, Six Sigma, Business Reengineering, and Problem Solving) in DoD is desired. Documented teaching, mentoring, and training experience with the AFSO21 tools. Must have experience mentoring and training novice facilitators. Must have successfully facilitated at least 10 events from multiple disciplines. Must demonstrate effectiveness in affecting change within smaller to medium-sized organizations, e.g. operational Air Force Wing of 3000+ people. Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. DESIRED SKILLS: Bachelor''s degree in related field prefer Master''s degree and proven experience
