McKonly & Asbury, founded in 1973, is one of Pennsylvania''s most respected accounting and consulting firms. We are assisting one of our clients in search of a Controller. Our client is located near Lancaster, PA. A privately own wholesale company that has just over 500 employees. Our client has over 30 years of experience serving domestic and global markets, providing both quality service and growth.
Reporting directly to Vice President of Finance, the Controller is responsible for oversight of all accounting and finance functions including AR/AP, GL and Payroll. This includes leading and mentoring accounting associates, as well serving as a resource for senior management to support efforts to achieve budgeted sales and operating income. A very successful middle and line management team is in place in each of these disciplines, with significant experience in their respective positions.
Having built an outstanding culture over the years, our client now seeks to continue this trend finding a Controller that will accentuate this fast paced vibrant company.
The successful candidate for this position will have 8-10 years accounting experience, 5 years of management experience in an accounting environment, significant knowledge of federal, state and local laws related to accounting and taxes, excellent financial analysis skills with the ability to develop budgets, cost standards and other performance measures and must have a demonstrable track record. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is also required. CPA preferred.
