Purpose of Position:
The Accounts payable position is responsible for processing the Company's requests for payments from vendors and employees. Perform financial, administrative and clerical duties. The job consists of the accurate and efficient daily processing of the accounts payable transactions.
This position is a great developmental position for candidates aspiring to advance to an Accounts Receivable/Payroll or a Customer Service Representative position within Jacobs or Danaher.
Key Responsibilities
· Process all requests for payment, including vendor invoices and employee expense reports. Validate such requests in accordance with Company policies, including three-way matching or manager approval.
· Manage cash disbursement process
· Prepare invoice deduction notices, as necessary
· Answer all vendor inquiries, in a timely and business-like fashion
· Analyze vendor accounts, when disputes arise
· Manage accounts payable reporting and filing systems
· Prepare analysis of various accounts, including Goods Received not Vouchered and P-Cards.
· Manage Sales and Use tax filings and self-assessments
· Assists in monthly financial closings
· Manage office supply purchases for Finance department.
· Assist with special projects, as necessary

Under the general direction of the Director of Academic Computing, will design, develop, and maintain software applications for the College. Working as a member of a highly focused team, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to use the latest technologies in a largely Microsoft environment.
Responsibilities
*
Design, develop, and maintain applications for the College s administrative offices and academic departments including both desktop and web-based applications.
*
Assist the director in gathering user requirements and in defining timetables and project plans.
*
Participate with the development team and IT staff as appropriate in the design of business solutions.
*
Perform related duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications
*
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of HTML, cascading style sheets (CSS), JavaScript, and a working knowledge of the administrative tools for Microsoft IIS server.
*
Experience with the design, implementation, and development of web applications using either ASP.NET or Java is required as is experience with XML and XSL/T.
*
A working knowledge of object oriented methodologies, proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages, C#, Java, or C++, and a working knowledge of the .NET framework in general and ASP.NET in particular are required.
*
Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with RDBMS (SQL Server preferred) are a must as is a strong background in Windows operating systems.
*
Experience with MS Visual Studio and related development tools is a strong plus.
*
Experience developing for the MS Office suite and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and SharePoint 2010 is a plus as is familiarity with the PeopleSoft ERP system.
*
The candidate must have strong communications, writing and problem solving skills and a demonstrated ability to function effectively within a team of strongly motivated individuals.
*
One to three years of experience in a similar environment and demonstrated experience with major software projects is required.
