The IT Security Monitoring Analyst position is an exciting and challenging opportunity for highly motivated candidates who are looking to gain experience in the dynamic field of IT security. The IT Security Monitoring Analyst will be part of a Farmington-based team which is responsible for the overall security of the client company's networks and systems. IT Security Monitoring Analysts will monitor various data sources to research and respond to alerts which identify anomalies in activity on the company's network. The Monitoring Analyst will determine if the activity is potentially malicious and will resolve or escalate the issue according to established guidelines. Thorough on the job training will be provided! Additionally, this is an indefinite-length assignment (no end date), so it provides a great growth and development opportunity, and an excellent foot-in-the-door opportunity for individuals interested in gaining experience in the growing field of IT security.

Relocation assistance is not provided.


**Requirements**


Availability:

- Must be able to work 2nd or 3rd shift

- Ability to work on weekends and holidays

- Must be able to initially train on 1st shift, Monday-Friday, for approximately 4-6 weeks before moving permanently to 2nd or 3rd shift


Required Skills/Experience:

- Solid understanding of computer operating systems, computer networking and infrastructure

- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

- Strict attention to detail

- Good oral and written communication skills; able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization

- Results-oriented and proactive with a sharp focus on success and achievement, as well as a high level of motivation and initiative

- Must be thorough in both analysis and documentation

- Excellent interpersonal skills; able to work in a team environment

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- Ability to handle working under time constraints and pressure

- Strong process orientation and ability to develop and follow standard work

Preferred Skills/Experience:

- Four year degree preferred with major in IT, Finance, Math or similar field of study requiring strong technical or analytical aptitude

- Network+ and/or Security+ certifications are a plus!
