Programming Coordinator, MLB and Motorsports Programming
Job Description The Programming Coordinator supports the ESPN Major League Baseball and Motorsports Programming team on the day-to-day scheduling, acquisition and management of our baseball and motorsports content; Contributes to the strategic scheduling of that content across all linear networks and digital platforms to maximize viewership and revenue; Works collaboratively across all ESPN departments and with external rightsholders and partners to fulfill contracts and achieve established company/team priorities and goals.

Responsibilities . Works with Programming team's management to assist in strategic scheduling of assigned sport categories across platforms, including linear and non-linear networks; and direct oversight of the construction and maintenance of certain specific program schedules.
. Handles all NCS work for assigned sport categories, including ratings, game selections, program scheduling, APF's, etc.
. Researches and prepares background reports to support meetings, scheduling strategies, and strategic acquisitions.
. Works hand-in-hand with Social Media, Marketing and Production to forge, implement and measure the success of effective social media strategies for assigned sports.
. Ensures timely and effective communication of programming information to all other ESPN Departments, platforms and business units as well as to external league partners on a daily basis.
. Works as a member of the Programming Department at large to contribute to the overall scheduling strategy for the company across platforms.
. Creates presentations and assists in negotiation prep work as assigned.
. Proactively contribute innovative ideas to continue to grow our business.
Basic Qualifications . Two years of experience in a professional work setting.
. Strong overall sports knowledge with special emphasis on the baseball and motorsports categories.
. Proficient computer skills, emphasis on Microsoft Office suite and current social media platforms.
. General knowledge of the sports media industry.
. Strong communication skills.
. Highly organized and efficient person.
Preferred Qualifications . Real life work experience in the sports media industry, television programming and/or sports league/team environment.
. General familiarity with reading and comprehending legal contracts.
. Knowledge of NCS system a plus.
Required Education Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, business, sports management or a related field.
