Geomechanics Specialist - Software Support

Baker Hughes Reservoir Software is a newly formed commercial software group developing innovative, tightly integrated software solutions in the fields of G&G subsurface modeling, geomechanics, and hydraulic fracturing simulation and analysis. The Reservoir Software group is quickly expanding its global operations and is now seeking talented and motivated professionals to join our dynamic organization.
Primary Objective: Provide support and training for the internal and external users of RDS geomechanical modeling software.
Key Responsibilities: Be responsible for technical and operational consultation and technology transfer to enable users to learn and use reservoir software effectively. Serve as a client liaison to build strong relationships with clients. Participate in pre-sales.
Essential Tasks: Communicate with clients via email, telephone, and in person to troubleshoot issues that users encounter with reservoir software. Execute client evaluations, and build models with clients to demonstrate the strengths of reservoir software. Assist with preparing demonstrations, presentations, technical documents, training material, and workflows. Visit clients for on-site support and presentations. Compile prioritized lists with quality assurance data and feature requests for software development.
Competencies: Demonstrate extensive and diverse expertise in geomechanical modeling (and optionally geological and geophysical subsurface, reservoir fluid flow, and hydraulic fracturing modeling). Relevant 1D and 3D geomechanical analysis includes geological structure, rock mechanical properties, pore pressure, in-situ stress, wellbore stability, fracture permeability, fault seal, sand production, image caliper logs, reservoir compaction, surface subsidence, and real-time acquisition.
Professional Characteristics: Must be a self-motivated, positive, energetic, confident, and ethical geomechanics expert with a strong drive for results. Demonstrate excellent analytical problem solving skills. Exhibit excellent interpersonal, customer-oriented, and knowledge transfer skills, with excellent English (and optionally Spanish) verbal and written communication skills. Possess strong teaching and presentation skills. Capable of working individually or in a multidisciplinary team, and with an extensive client base.
Education and Experience: Attained scientific education and industry experience as a geomechanics specialist: Bachelor s degree with minimum 7 years relevant work experience, Master s degree with minimum 5 years relevant work experience, or Doctoral degree with minimum 3 years relevant work experience.

Role Synopsis
Candidates must perform various duties associated with tools and equipment for Pumping Services or Coiled Tubing business. · Must have the ability to work a flexible work schedule.
· Requires a Commercial Operator s license or the ability to obtain one, the maintenance of a safe driving record and the ability to comply with D.O.T.
